Auguosto was born in Cali, Colombia and raised in California, USA. His style is heavily influenced by North American culture. He started rapping doing freestyles at the early age of 13 years old. He continued to work on his craft, honing his skills and at the age of 16 he wrote and recorded his first song, that experience alone of recording in a studio cemented what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Growing up in Orange County and Los Angeles, California, Auguosto began writing and recording more songs;the whole process came very easy to him. The songs Auguosto writes about are all from the heart, he believes in the connection that can be established with people, through good quality music. Auguosto raps about his experiences and experiences from the people who surround him, creating many subjects people can relate to. In his opinion, ¨there are too many artists with ghostwriters nowadays and although they may get a reference track to how the song should sound, they don’t sing or rap it with the same feelings, emotions, and intentions¨.
Through his artistic career, Auguosto has been able to establish great friendships and reliable connections on his network. In 2016 many situations forced Auguosto to step away from music for nearly six years, he didn’t think that he would be able to get back to making music. In 2021 he met a sound engineer and recorded 5 singles, although the singles didn’t come out to Auguosto’s expectations, this was all the taste of music Auguosto needed to get back to his craft and passion, music.
Motivated by the lack of not being able to find chemistry with a sound engineer or producer, Auguosto decided to enroll in a music academy to learn how to record, mix, master, and produce for himself. His first mixtape ¨ i A.M. Auguosto ¨ created some great traction for him, after that he released a few street singles, and in 2022 he started working on his second mixtape ¨ Back 2 Da Basics ¨. Back 2 Da Basics is scheduled to be released June 2023 marking Auguosto’s return to the rapping/music scene.
After being forced to step away from music for nearly six years, Auguosto has vouched to not ever allow anything or anyone to come between him and his music. Determined and very focused, he’s made music his priority and is willing to make 2023 THE YEAR to make a huge impact with people and the industry. Working hard, he’s trying to make up for so much lost time.
